So, you know, thinking of ditching the usual West Palm Beach hangouts for a full day of exploring? Well, you have come to the right place, it’s almost a no brainer! A day trip, like your own personal adventure, could be exactly what you need. I am thinking beyond the beaches, actually, further afield. We are talking about experiences that show off what Southeast Florida is very good at. We are going over some seriously great adventures near West Palm. Here are, like, five full-day tours that I reckon are total winners.
1. Everglades Airboat Adventure
Everglades trips, right? Well, very South Florida. Now, if seeing some gators sounds like the way to spend the day, this could be a great one. The Everglades airboat adventure can give you that rush of skimming across the water at top speed while seeing all types of wildlife. Actually, you might get the chance to see alligators, various kinds of birds, maybe even a Florida panther if you get just a bit lucky. They usually throw in a show that goes over how the gators and crocs live. The whole trip from start to finish can run around 6 hours, basically, not a bad chunk of time for the money! So if you want to switch up what you would consider to be a usual tour, there you have it.
2. A Day in the Keys: Key West
You know, have you thought of checking out Key West for a day? It’s a longer trip from West Palm Beach, naturally, the drive is about 4 hours or so, yet you get to go through loads of cool scenery on the way. This is that cool Overseas Highway that’s basically hopping islands, is that super unique or what? Like your time down there? That’s very Conch Republic, in other words. Hit up Mallory Square, that’s an awesome place to start off and see performers. You get that laid-back island lifestyle, clearly. Check out the Hemingway Home, it’s full of six-toed cats. Want to take that iconic photo at the Southernmost Point buoy? Very, very do-able! This is easily a full day of sun, fun, and Florida Keys craziness.
3. Lion Country Safari
Want an African safari, yet you are very, very far from Africa? Palm Beach has this. Lion Country Safari is an awesome option that could be perfect. This one mixes a drive-through preserve featuring, like, lots of roaming animals plus a theme park that does all the fun stuff. They might have lions, giraffes, zebras, or even rhinos there, I do not know, like something you see in a nature documentary! So they let you drive through it in your ride, alright, the animals roam very close to you. Walk around and hit up all sorts of different rides and animal exhibits. It is basically perfect if you need an easy to reach adventure that gives something super different, naturally. Plan about a day’s worth, in other words, especially if your family is involved.
4. Explore the culture, shop, eat, and tour Worth Avenue, Palm Beach
Rather stay around the area of Palm Beach? OK then, Worth Avenue. Very stylish and very close, that area offers shopping that could even make Rodeo Drive blush. Yet, it has so much charm at the same time! Basically, they have landscaped places that makes it just the perfect location for a stroll and picture time. Tour that neighborhood and check out what very exclusive properties look like. Grab dinner there, or a nice relaxing meal at a cafe to see very stylish locals. It does not take much to fill your day right in your own local place! Get a better sense of Palm Beach right around you, okay? Worth Avenue will give you all that you need and want.
5. Rapids Water Park
Here’s something that’s great for families: A water park, for instance? You will want to check out Rapids Water Park. It’s actually the biggest water park they have around South Florida. Basically a whole bunch of different slides, a lazy river to do all your chill time in, a wave pool that might bring the ocean to your swimming pool. Rent your own cabana, yet the place will also appeal to kids if they want to see their very big attractions. Really it’s more of an ease into fun type adventure, if you get me, just a bit. Plan it around a full day, actually, take your time. Basically, there will be something to do there for the entire crew.
