For starters, if you fancy getting stuck into Armenian heritage, then the “Stonehenge” Restaurant really has to be up there. Located a stone’s throw, pretty much, from the Karahunj Observatory (Zorats Karer), the restaurant really carries that feeling of connection, is that it feels as if it is from the past yet feels very current too. The outdoor setting really is pleasant. It’s surrounded by these beautiful, uh, pretty rugged hills, and the air sort of smells like wildflowers. Seriously, where else would you rather enjoy traditional Armenian food? When I last went, I enjoyed this lovely “Harissa,” which is, of course, a porridge cooked with lamb, anyway, it’s a slow cooked meal.
