Tenerife Paragliding: Is the Bronze Flight Worth It? (2025 Review)

So, you’re checking out paragliding in Tenerife, right? Very cool! That’s definitely very appealing, isn’t it? That’s pretty amazing! And, you’re thinking specifically ’bout the Bronze flight option, are you? That sounds amazing to me. Specifically, is that worth spending your money on? That sounds like an awesome adventure. Having experienced this personally, you, very probably, want all the facts ‘fore you actually book. That seems quite sensible to me. Here’s, basically, what I thought ’bout my ‘Bronze’ tandem paragliding flight in South Tenerife (plus deets on the free pick-up service in 2025!) That sounds very tempting to me!

What is the ‘Bronze’ Tandem Paragliding Flight?

The “Bronze” tandem flight’s supposed to be a solid intro to paragliding, isn’t it? Right! Very cool! Offered in South Tenerife, typically, this flight’s, actually, shorter in duration than other packages. Right? Like, maybe 15-20 minutes in the air, that’s, arguably, what’s gonna happen. Also, it tends to focus on just enjoying the, apparently, stunning views, as opposed to, perhaps, trying crazy aerial maneuvers, that I can understand. But still really nice!

Most packages, that’s very interesting to note, they add free pickup from different spots in the South Tenerife area, right? Specifically, places such as Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje. That’s kinda cool, ain’t it? Of course, confirming that your specific accommodation falls within their free pickup zone’s, really, very important before booking, ain’t it? I guess that would be quite a problem, otherwise!

What I Thought Was Great (And, like, What Could Have Been Better)

First, the views are pretty sweet, like really nice views. Obviously. We are talking ’bout Tenerife, you know? Yet, seeing the coast from up high’s quite an amazing experience. Basically. From up in the air. Really good views! Even on the “Bronze” flight, you, basically, get a good amount of time just soaring and soaking that beauty. It could be amazing, you know?

Also, that’s quite true too, the free pickup definitely made things very easy, you see? Really easy! The driver came, nearly on time (island time, you know, right?) so, and he was very personable too, right? So, that was pretty nice indeed! And, that certainly reduced some travel worries, I tell you.

The pilots, naturally, they knew what they were doing, which you’d really expect so! Very obviously so! I felt kinda secure and at ease the whole time, and this is coming from someone who’s a tiny bit afraid of heights. So yes they should know what they’re doing.

Now for a bit that could’ve been a tad improved. The flight was rather on the shorter end. So I have been told. Now if you are after like an intro, like to see if you fancy the hobby, right. Yeah that’s what you’ll get, yet, you might kinda feel that its all over quickly. Rather. Did you know?

Also, arguably, ’cause it was a shorter flight, we actually launched from quite a low altitude, so I hear. Like, in turn, the views weren’t as incredible as the views, that’s claimed, from some higher launch points. Not a major drama. Oh no. But, arguably, it’s good to know, is it not?

Is It Safe? Things to Think ‘Bout ‘Fore You Fly

First, weather plays a big part in paragliding, is that correct or not? Like very crucial. Actually. Flights, basically, might get changed or called off if the conditions don’t seem right. Makes a load of sense, does it not?

Second, really make certain the company you decide to use, that I guess should be checked, adheres to high safety standards. Such a thing as properly maintained kit, and, so to speak, very certified pilots. Very useful and required things. By some I would expect.

Oh yeah, check out what other people are saying. Arguably. That will then provide you a more well rounded and solid outlook, you know? Then hopefully less chance to pick somewhere horrible! Not the desired outcome! Right? Have a browse. At what you ask! Oh things like past client reviews! You might wanna, right.

Be aware too! Yes it might be a surprise that it will be cold so ensure you take a jacket! Seriously. Tenerife is known as more of a heat hotspot yet high above can still provide cold conditions. Just a pre warning. Like as they are called. From those who warn.

Anyhoo. I digress. Now insurance! Yep important. It does actually kinda makes sense to check whether your regular travel insurance deals with paragliding. Does it though? Also maybe weigh up purchasing specifically designed adventure sports cover too. Worth the added expense in some circumstances. Maybe just some maybe both or nothing!

Making Your Tenerife Paragliding Flight Really, Really Amazing

So, first off. What to wear and all that. You need kinda sturdy trainers or walking shoes. Right, it’s gonna need it, for, that short hike on the launch site. Oh and layers! Yes a shock I have already mentioned above yet still. Layers and clothing will protect you as can get cold. Yet too if you happen to heat up. Take stuff off. Its logical yet simple.

Like I said earlier but gonna say it again! Don’t leave your sunglasses. Yep it seems an obvious thing. Like I mentioned with weather its bright in Tenerife too, especially in the sunny skies at high alt! Remember your eyes!!! Please do!

Ask those pilots plenty of Q’s!!! Don’t think to yourself, oh no I wont! Just ask! They generally like sharing their wisdom! So feel at ease in order to go on this very interesting flight of airtime that I will tell you it can be life changing for some!

Also, taking a GoPro. That thing can then attach onto your harness if you like, depending on your operators policy that will need to be looked into, to ensure that awesome in air selfie! Do take those selfies too for sure. Will bring home memories and what not!

‘Bronze’ Flight or Go Higher? Other Tenerife Paragliding Choices

Yeah OK so maybe the “Bronze” flight seems very introductory to you? So have you pondered on looking at some longer or higher altitude alternatives? A tad pricier potentially! Of course! Though then you’d probably experience more awesome sights, for more minutes, from more meters above! Yeah?

Often some of them options have a load more acrobatic chances! Like spinning etc. You up for those crazy antics and want more?

Lastly, maybe ponder at like what time you fly as potentially different times yield different scenery opportunities! Really think about it as sunset or late afternoon will be golden hour for photography. Think that far too! Just do, will be happy if you do!
