Cream City Cannibal Tour: Is the Dahmer Tour Worth It?

True crime stories, those dark tales of the unthinkable, really do have a hold on us, don’t they? This tour, very much unlike your standard city sightseeing stroll, zeroes in specifically on the chilling crimes of Jeffery Dahmer. Now, expect to visit locations that carry pretty intense significance in this story, that being the sites where Dahmer hunted his victims and the locations that were, you know, connected to his, it is true to say, messed-up life. The aim here actually is not to glorify anything, no. What they’re doing, arguably, is presenting this story in a respectful-ish, that is what it looks like, way while also bringing light to the victims and the lasting, almost intense, impact felt by the communities that went through it. Very few stones are left unturned as you’re guided, really, through these, very upsetting, you know, stories.

I mean, expect a tour, that being more or less one usually lasting around two hours. You will stroll with, as a matter of fact, a guide, right? They’ll have very many stories, that they know off the top of their head, very detailed things regarding the case and Milwaukee’s, still intense, response to the Dahmer story. That, of course, could very easily include the police screw-ups that meant Dahmer was able to carry on for, very sadly, such a terribly, awful length of time. You’re very likely going to see locations like the former site of the Ambassador Hotel and the near area, like your location, around the 924 North 25th Street apartment, very notorious locations tied, I think, to the, very true, narrative. Is It Actually Done Respectfully?

That is a very biggie, right? Any tour centered, as a matter of fact, on such, I do not even know, brutal crimes must actually handle the content with care and a proper level of respect. The Cream City Cannibal Tour, I see, kind of tries to find a bit of a medium point between laying out all the grizzly facts and respecting those who suffered because of Dahmer’s terrible actions. I guess that guides kind of, almost always, avoid any, you see, glorifying of Dahmer himself, right? What they’re aiming at instead actually, as I am sure you know, is bringing up the stories of the victims, shining a light, or whatever, on the social issues which enabled the crimes to take place, and showing just how affected the, quite normal, city became during this time. Very likely, depending, on which guide you end up with, actually dictates the actual level of ‘respectful’.

Others still may well just find the whole thing mind-blowing. However, the tour is arguably suited to anyone, actually anyone who wants to gain, kind of like they stole it from someone else, a more proper and deeper perspective, really, of how deeply Dahmer’s crimes rocked Milwaukee, too. This might actually appeal, if that is alright to say, very much to those keen, almost always, on really learning about how true crime affects communities, in addition, well naturally, to the raw details themselves.
