The eating place is way up in the clouds – at the top of the World Trade Center to be precise – and so, on a bright day or lit-up evening, it shows you nearly the entire city. I mean, you almost see all the tiny streets down below, right over to what appears to be distant hills and, still, everything in between. It’s just a gorgeous experience for a short while as you are taking that all in and that feeling. So, I might add, going near sundown is amazing – I think, you know, seeing the lights start sparkling as the city transitions from day to night? Really, it makes you feel that magical feeling!
What About the Actual Food? I Think it Could Be Better
So, very soon, we can talk about the part that often creates the most heated debate – what are the dishes actually like? Hmm, well that depends. Look, in general, what I observed of it is, I suppose, what one would say “it’s okay.” I did not just leave thinking, “Wow, the food was incredible!” But also, to be clear, I did not believe it was bad, too. The selections on their menu are wide-ranging – right from tacos (after all, you have to) to some rather sophisticated pasta dishes. It just tended to be quite average and kind of catering more to an overseas visitor than pushing out true flavorful or genuinely imaginative fare, in my estimation. I have been waiting for it so let’s consider that little fact that’s probably a dealbreaker for you or makes it even more tantalizing. If so, perhaps Bellini will be worth checking out.
